Backup your Windows file using Windows Vista or Windows 7

I'm really sorry but this feature is not available in Windows XP. Okay, I'm not going to say anything about the missing months before this.haha. Let's just go through our tutorial shall we?

The file backup and restore features in Windows Vista and Windows 7 make it easier for you to keep your data safe from user error, hardware failure, and other problems. The Windows Backup and Restore Center gives you one place to manage all backup and restore features.

I'm currently using Windows 7 so it might be a little different with Vista. This feature is only available in Windows Vista Business and Ultimate edition.

You can start accessing Windows Backup and Restore Centre at Start > Control Panel > Backup and Restore.

To backup your Windows files, click Backup Computer(Vista) or Backup Now(Win7). It will ask you for the file that you want to backup.

Select Backup Computer(Vista) or Backup Now(Win7). You can also select what files will be backed up.

Select Change Settings to configure your backup files.

After selecting the partition that you want to save the backup, you can let the Backup Centre to choose the files that you want to backup or you can choose it yourself.

Click Turn On Schedule if you want Windows to automatically backup your file at a specific time. (configure the time at Change Settings).

I think that's all. Anything you want to know more, just ask me at the ShoutMix at the left sidebar of this blog.

Thank you. Backup your files before it's too late. =)
